Terms of Service
Our terms for free basic assessment, written charges, quotation periods, payment, item handover and after-sales questions.
Inquiries and final transaction terms
Singapore Gold Market is operated by Golden Credit. These terms describe our inquiry and transaction process. The individual written quotation and transaction record identify the item, assessment route, agreed charges, net amount payable, expiry, payment and handover conditions. Any applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
Basic assessment and additional charges
Photo screening and our basic purchase assessment are free, with no obligation to sell. Additional paid work requires your prior written agreement. A basic assessment does not automatically include an independent laboratory report.
Checks needed for our own purchase decision are normally at the company's cost. A customer-requested third-party report or other paid work is quoted in writing, with its scope and expected timing, before you agree. There is no separate arrangement fee at this stage. If you do not sell, your item is returned; only authorised paid work actually incurred is handled under the prior agreement.
Assessment methods and prior consent
Scratching, case opening, stone removal, cutting, sampling, melting or another procedure that changes the item requires prior written consent. We explain the actual operator, scope, effects, fees and alternatives first. You may decline; unresolved points may then prevent a final offer. No external examiner or service is treated as arranged until its details are confirmed with you.
We do not currently accept standalone cleaning, repair or polishing commissions, and consignment is outside the current service. An assessment record, laboratory report and commercial purchase offer serve different purposes. An existing report must be checked against the item; it does not establish our purchase price.
Quotation periods and acceptance
A photo-based reference range is for reference for 48 hours after issue, subject to the physical item and necessary checks. Final gold offers based on metal content normally remain valid for 30 minutes; whole-piece jewellery and watch offers for 24 hours. Silver, platinum and palladium offer periods are agreed in writing. Each quotation identifies the assessment route, valuation basis, agreed charges, net amount payable and exact expiry in Singapore time. The stated written expiry governs, and item condition, accessories and material facts must remain unchanged. A quote does not reserve stock unless a separate holding arrangement is confirmed.
Once an offer is accepted within its stated validity on the agreed terms, later market movement alone is not a reason to change the price. A newly discovered material fact or an entry error is explained and documented, then handled under the agreement and applicable requirements.
Company payment and handover
After acceptance, required verification and signing, company payment is made to the verified seller's own account under the written terms. Our target is the same day, normally within one working day; this is a service target, not a guaranteed receipt time. The payment deadline and any conditions are written into the transaction record, and bank delays are communicated. A payment screenshot is not proof that funds have cleared. Handover and transfer of ownership follow the written agreement.
Customer payments use the verified company bank or company PayNow channel specified in the transaction documents. Payment to us is established by actual credit to the company account; payment to a seller by the seller's actual receipt. The written agreement states the ownership-transfer conditions and records full cleared payment and completed handover, subject to applicable legal holds or other restrictions.
Item custody and third-party handover
Whenever an item is left with us, a receipt records its item reference, quantity, visible condition, photographs, accessories, seal details, expected timing and authorised scope. Customer items are recorded separately from company stock. Before a third-party handover, we explain the actual provider, charges, transport, custody value and any insurance actually arranged, and record each transfer. Insurance is not promised where it has not been arranged.
While the customer owns the item, we do not sell, pledge, dismantle or melt it without the necessary authority. A separately authorised inspection stays within its written scope. Responsibility and any loss are handled under the actual service, agreed insurance and applicable law, without a blanket transfer of every loss to the customer.
Condition disclosures and applicable movement warranty
Before sale, we disclose known condition issues, identified replacement or aftermarket parts, the scope of function checks and accompanying items in writing. Box, papers and historical records are supporting information; unresolved components are not described as confirmed original.
A 90-day commercial movement warranty applies only to a pre-owned watch whose sales document expressly includes it, starting on delivery. That document sets out the covered functions, agreed timekeeping standards, claim procedure, actual repair provider, transport costs and exclusions. Availability is confirmed for the individual sale; the catalogue itself is not a warranty offer. Exclusions for impact, water damage or unauthorised modification must relate to the actual cause of the fault.
This commercial warranty is not a manufacturer warranty and does not shorten or exclude applicable consumer rights. Additional cover for other categories is stated per item. Having no additional commercial warranty does not remove responsibility for material, gemstone or product descriptions. Statutory remedies may also apply to second-hand goods.
Product concerns and dispute handling
If you have a concern about an item's description or authenticity, provide the sales record and explain the issue. Our targets are to acknowledge receipt within 2 working days and explain the next review steps within 5 working days; these are not guaranteed resolution deadlines. A review provider is reasonably agreed by both parties, with qualifications, scope and costs documented. A confirmed material misdescription is addressed with a refund or another appropriate remedy under applicable law and the agreement. Our initial assessment is not the sole final determination. Change of mind and voluntary returns
There is no automatic change-of-mind return policy; any voluntary return or exchange terms are recorded before sale. A completed transaction at an accepted price does not promise a later market-price adjustment. An outright purchase does not create a redeemable pawnbroking arrangement. These voluntary policies do not limit remedies for defects, misdescription or other applicable statutory rights.

Reference prices and assessment scope
Gold prices and bullion estimates are indicative references for the corresponding gold products, not silver, platinum, palladium, whole jewellery pieces or watches. Ordinary jewellery follows metal-content assessment and high-end branded jewellery follows whole-piece assessment. Watches require separate manual agreement on the assessment route. Final quote, assessment method, fees, quote validity, and payment arrangements require agreement.
Forms and appointment confirmation
Submitting and saving a form does not send WhatsApp, confirm a booking, or complete a transaction. You may choose to open WhatsApp and send the reviewed message or photos yourself. Appointments and formal quotes require separate manual confirmation. Item suitability, inventory, and any required verification may affect whether a transaction can proceed.
Watch catalogue and purchase enquiries
Watch collections, reference information and illustrative images explain purchase options; they do not confirm stock, condition or a quote. The individual piece, accessories, availability and viewing arrangements need manual confirmation. The watch purchase form prepares a WhatsApp draft for you to send and does not submit to the website inquiry-record endpoint.
