Purpose of inquiry details

This page explains how inquiry and transaction information is used for gold trading, metals, jewellery and watch assessments, appointments and follow-up. Before collecting further transaction information, we explain its purpose, handling and retention arrangements, and how to contact us about it.

Information collected

Forms collect a name, contact details, appointment preferences, item details, and relevant notes to record an inquiry and support follow-up. Initial inquiries do not collect identity or bank documents. Brand, model, year, condition, service history and box, receipt or certificate details are optional; unknown details can be explained. Avoid unrelated sensitive information in notes.

Watch purchase and sourcing enquiries

WhatsApp enquiries on the luxury watch, available-watch and wanted-watch pages include your watch preferences, budget, name and notes in a draft for you to review and send. These forms do not submit to the website inquiry-record endpoint or automatically publish a request. Public buying requests are separately confirmed and reviewed; only approved reference, configuration and budget details are published, without client names or contact details.

Photos and WhatsApp

This form does not upload or store photos. You may send item photos separately in WhatsApp, which has its own data-handling terms. Saving the form and sending WhatsApp are separate steps; the message is sent in that conversation only when you review and send it. Purpose and retention for any formal transaction-verification information should be explained before separate collection.

Transaction checks and sharing

A formal transaction may require identity, ownership, payment and assessment records to verify the transaction, arrange handover, handle after-sales questions or disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping and regulatory requirements. Collection, use and disclosure require the applicable consent or another basis permitted or required by law. An inquiry does not provide marketing permission.

Access is limited to authorised people who need the information for the relevant work. Necessary information may be shared with service providers handling the stated purposes, an agreed assessment provider, or recipients authorised by law. For a third-party assessment, we explain the actual recipient, the information needed and its purpose as part of the handover arrangements.

Retention and protection

Information is retained while needed for the stated purposes or applicable legal and business retention requirements, with handling based on the record type and relevant obligations. Transaction records that must be retained by law may not be deleted immediately on request. We use reasonable safeguards against unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Public material excludes identity-document numbers, private addresses, account details, signatures and item serial numbers that should remain private.

Separate permission for marketing and case studies

Marketing contact and public use of customer portraits, identifiable item photographs or transaction stories require separate, optional permission with the intended use explained. Declining publicity does not affect the basic transaction service. You may withdraw the relevant consent through the contact route below; we explain the applicable handling and consequences.

Access, correction and consent requests

Contact us with a privacy request if you wish to seek access to personal data, request a correction, withdraw consent or raise a data-handling concern. We may reasonably verify your identity to protect the information, and handle requests subject to applicable law and exceptions.
