Sell A. Lange & Söhne Watches in Singapore

LANGE 1, SAXONIA, 1815, ZEITWERK and ODYSSEUS are not interchangeable descriptions. Dial layout and functions help identify the family, but case material, reference and supplied strap or bracelet must still be recorded for the individual watch.

Identify the item

A. Lange & Söhne: details that help the review

Reference, case material and buckle

Use the documented reference and stated case material rather than judging metal from a photograph. Inventory the fitted buckle and any original buckle retained. Movement-bridge appearance should not be used to identify the case metal.

Layout and complication

Describe known functions and movement type. LANGE 1 uses a distinctive off-centre layout and outsize date; ZEITWERK uses mechanically driven jumping numerals. Do not assume a numeral display is quartz or that every Lange shares one setting procedure.

Assessment considerations

What informs the assessment

Case, dial and visible movement condition

Photograph case edges, dial and any safely visible caseback. Describe scratches, dents, moisture signs or known refinishing without opening the watch. Visible finishing is useful context, not a substitute for verifying identity and mechanical condition.

Complication and service observations

Mention known winding, date, chronograph or jumping-display concerns and service records. Describe symptoms rather than repeatedly operating unfamiliar controls. A complication that has not been tested should remain unconfirmed, not described as fully functioning.

Strap, buckle and replaced components

Separate the fitted strap from the buckle and list original parts retained. Note dial, hands, crown or other replacements, including work recorded during service. Missing original attachments or uncertain material should be stated without an automatic acceptance assumption.

Gold colour and total watch weight do not establish net precious-metal content. Gold product references do not automatically price a watch; a watch containing precious metal still needs agreement on the assessment route.

Assessment and sale process

  1. 01

    Share known details

Provide contact and item details, including what you know. Unknown information can wait.

  2. 02

    Initial manual review

Review suitability, available information and the assessment arrangements for the individual item.

  3. 03

    Arrange physical checks

Agree timing, location and applicable checks, then review the physical item and supporting details.

  4. 04

    Conditional written quote

If proceeding, set out quote conditions, any fees, validity and payment arrangements.

  5. 05

    Seller acceptance and settlement

Proceed after the seller accepts the agreed arrangements. An inquiry does not complete a sale.

Prepare your A. Lange & Söhne inquiry

Provide only what you know; unknown details can be left blank. The brand is preselected and editable. It categorises the inquiry and does not establish authenticity.

  • Family, complete reference, case material and known functions.
  • Dial, case-edge and accessible caseback photographs with serial details obscured.
  • Photograph the fitted buckle and list any original buckle retained.
  • Box, purchase paperwork, manuals and service descriptions actually held.
  • Known winding, display, service, polishing or replaced-part issues.

Initial inquiries do not collect identity or bank documents, and the form has no photo upload. A successful save records the inquiry; it does not confirm an appointment, quote or sale.

You may choose to open WhatsApp and send reviewed photos or further details. Physical checks, a written quote, any fees and settlement arrangements need separate manual confirmation.

Submit a watch sell inquiry

Share the watch details you know; optional information may be left blank or marked unknown. Watches go to a manual review first. Brand eligibility and final assessment rules require confirmation. Gold watches are not automatically priced by metal weight.

A. Lange & Söhne assessment questions

Request an assessment
Is a ZEITWERK numeral display a quartz movement?

No. Lange describes ZEITWERK as mechanically driven. Use the family and complete reference, and describe known display concerns without guessing the movement from its appearance.

Does a replacement leather strap mean the buckle also changed?

Not necessarily. Inventory strap and buckle separately, including any original buckle retained. Do not describe an accessory as original when its origin is uncertain.

Should I run the date or chronograph to prove it works?

An initial inquiry does not require that. State known operation and service history; avoid unfamiliar controls and agree suitable assessment steps after identifying the reference.
